“When I was in high school, I babysat for this little boy with autism. A few years later, I was working as a teaching assistant for a special education program, but my supervisor approached me and asked if I would help out in an ABA classroom that needed teaching assistants. I wasnʼt sure what ABA was all about, but I figured it couldnʼt be much different and I was only here for the summer anyway. I ended up working in the classroom of that same little boy I used to babysit. After seeing the tremendous progress this little boy made, I was hooked and knew I wanted to spend my time studying behavior analysis.”
