Initial Assessment

The Initial Assessment is an essential part of establishing your child’s ABA program. The assessment is conducted in your child’s home, using normed / standardized assessment tools appropriate for your child’s chronological age and developmental level. During the assessment, the Consultant will work 1:1 with your child as well as talk in detail with you about your child’s current skills and challenges.

The Initial Assessment provides detailed information about your child’s skills in the following areas:

  • Gross Motor
  • Fine Motor
  • Pre-Writing
  • Cognitive
  • Language
  • Personal/Social
  • Self-Help
  • Academic / Pre-Academic

The information gathered from the Initial Assessment will provide us with guidance on how to develop your child’s ABA therapy program. Follow-up assessments will be performed to track your child’s progress and give us the ability to tweak the customized therapy program to better fit the needs of your child. Assessments include test administration, test scoring, telephone consultations, and a written report.
